Quality of Monsoon Stereo System

I recently bought a 2003 Turbo S and it comes with a 8 speaker Monsoon stereo system. Is this a quality stereo or do I need to consider changing it? I will not see or touch the car for another month till I am stateside so I am trying to get a jump on the replacement if necessary. It has a 6 disk changer I understand but I would much rather use an Ipod dock system if this stereo is no good.

The Monsoon system is top of the line for an OEM radio in a New Beetle. If all the speakers are working correctly it will sound great as the equalization was setup for this specific car.

I have monsoon and its GREAT! I have never had reason to crank it up and once you set the equalizer to your liking it sounds supper!

As long as you don't plan on running music for an outside stage show it will do just fine... I can never get why people put huge sound systems in cars..
