Default Need speaker recommendations for 2001 GLS

I recently purchased a beetle as a surprise for my GF and I have a month to get it ship shape. I want to upgrade all 4 speakers as 3 are blown. Any recommendations as far as fitting and sounding good? Any experiences I should not before tackling this?

Thanks!

Default speakers.

what i did for all my blown speakers is I just bought 2 pairs of poineers. The product code for the speakers is TS-G1643R. They come with two each. If you get them online in the right place, you can get them for 20 bucks a pair. They are direct fits and only took me 15 minutes a side to get in. If you dont know how to get the panels off, thats pretty simle. For the doors there are 3 torx on the bottom you have to undo, then there is a screw underneath the door handle. After you undo those, you can just lift the bootom of the door panel and the speaker is right there. You don't have to take it off, just put a screwdriver there that will hold the panel up. The Back ones just unsnap, lift the back seat up, and its easy from there. Once again when you get the door panel out, the speakers are right there. What I did is I looked up a wiring diagram to make sure I did everything correctly, and there is one on google if you search for a wiring diagram. That should be it.

** I also put 2 6x9s in the cover that goes behind the back seat to cover up the trunk, wasn't that hard to do, and I just hooked them up parallel to the rears. Those were also pioneers, and sound great. Very clear.

Good Luck,
Nate
