Default Radio pulled halfway out, stuck

I have a dead radio on a 99 NB with standard cassette player, and it was dead when I bought the car, and they say it has a fuse in back. So I got the special tools, pulled it about halfway out (maybe two-three inches) and it feels like the wires are hung up pretty well or something. Do I need to reach behind it somehow and unhook something, or should I pull real hard, or wiggle it to the left, or what? I don't like pulling real hard, that seems to be asking for trouble. Does it normally tend to hang up like that? Any advice?
Thanks!

only other options would be see if you could push something in to try to unstick whatever is caught (metal coat hanger.. thin metal ruler, something like that) or start disassembling the console until you can reach in behind.

You can't remove the console without taking out the radio.

It sounds like the wires may have snaged something in behind there.

Or It clould also be this! good luck!

Default Tractor pull

Got it out. The wires were routed downward around a sharp edge, and weren't about to slither upward easily. I kept poking them with a hacksaw blade and pulling way too hard, which worked it up gradually enough to get my hand behind the right side (the antenna wire had pulled out but seemed undamaged) and popped the clips on the connectors. Hope that I didn't snap the strands in some of those wires.
Did have a blown fuse, and it came to life just fine. Now I have to do the code game. Thanks!

Speaking of the radio code
I just removed the Kenwood deck from my car and decided to put back in my original radio.
After I plugged in all the wires.
I realized that I didn't have to put any radio code. It worked fine
Is it only if the battery is disconnected that resets the radio?
I figure if the radio wires are disconnected, it would be the same thing.
No power to the unit!
Anybody else have this happen?
