Default Taters New speakers

Finally got around to installing the front and back speakers in Tater this weekend. This in preparation for a new amp in the next couple of weeks. Didn't replace the dash speakers yet, we're going to do some dash painting soon and those will be replaced at that time. Over all the installation was pretty easy, I mounted the speakers directly to the panels so the grills and speakers would line up. 3/4" mdf was also added to the back of the panels to increase the structural integrity of the panel.

How do those sound running off the headunit? I was looking at those the other night. Seem like a nice set of components.

notfast,

The speakers are actually pretty good. My wife likes them more than the factory speakers. I on the other hand like the bass response of the factory speakers. The factory speakers essentially use the backside of the door as an enclosure. The new speakers were mounted to the door panel itself, installed this way you would need an amp as there really isn't an enclosure.
I'll let you know what I think after the installation of her amp this weekend. But I wouldn't replace the factory front door speakers unless there was something wrong with them or you were replacing the factory monsoon amp.
