Default Stereo reset...

Ok, so I just had some work done on my car, and they disconnected the battery. Now that it's up and running, the stereo is in safe mode. How do I get it back into regular play function?

Thanks!

You'll need the 4 digit code to enter into the radio. Should be in the owners manual I think.

If the code is not in the manual, you can take it to a deal and they can look it up for you... the code in my manual was WRONG and so i took it to the dealer... they did it at no charge. one thing to note - for the dealer to get the code the radio needs to be at the point to enter a code - if its locked, the car will need to be on for an hour to reset...

i also read a thread that said their code was on the back of the radio - i don't think that is true for all as isn't one of the reason for needing a code so the radio won't work if its stolen?

anywho - good luck!

I've got the 4 # code in the manual, I hope it's the right code. She only had 1 other owner before me, so I think it should work...

Thanks!!!

Just to note - you only have a few tries before it locks... thats when you have to let the car run (or some say have the key in) for an hour to get back to the safe mode so you can enter a code...
