Default Switched 12v voltage

The last hack that owned this 02 cut the pig tails off so all i have is technocolor spaghetti. I know the yellow/red is the switched wire. Two questions actually. What should the voltage be on this wire and does anyone have the actual color codes vs the locations on the blocks which i do not have. Thanks

Well 473, I guess the Voltage ?? was a big duh on my part. Yes i have a voltmeter and the voltage is exactly 0 switch on or off. When the stereo died, I heard a pop in the dash and dont know what that was all about. The other wires all have the proper voltage as far as I can tell and I did get the unit to work but it obviously has to be manually shut off or kill the batt. I cannot find reference to a fuse in the dash and have checked the block and all is well. Loose, would love to have the diagram. Thanks a lot for the replies.

Id start pulling fuses and see where that gets you. Does anything else NOT work, like the power sockets or the lights for the power sockets...stuff like that? Sometimes multiple devices that pull low amperage will be on the same circit.
Im not 100% familiar with this car, as I havent been nosing around in it too much, but check the fuse box under the hood if you havent yet. Is there a fuse box under the dash? That "pop" dosent sound good....did anything let the smoke out, or is there any burning smells?

I wish ya the best of luck...hopefully you can get the diagram and figure it out!

On the fuses....did you go through each fuse and touch them with a test light on each side to make sure they actually work? You kow, there are little metal spots on the back of the fuse where you can probe it while its in the holder itself. Not trying to harp on the subject, but working on cars/motorcycles for 12 years a bad fuse has bitten me in the butt a time or two. Ive had them "look good" and still be bad.

Just trying to help. I enjoy dabbling in electrical and Im interested in what your diagnosis might be!

i will admit that even though i did pull each one and look at it, i did NOT electrically check each on. i guess that would be a prudent thing to do. everything else in the car works but im not the know all of auto electic so will give that a try. good advice,

thanks,
