Head Unit Repairs?

My MP3 CD Player VW (Non Monsoon) stereo is causing problems with ejecting or accepting CD's. Rather than buy new, I'm thinking I could remove the unit and ship it for repairs.

Has anyone dealt with Rive Automotive Electronics Factory OEM Radio Repair or any other similar places for head unit repair?

Their pricing seems right.

You could buy new with a better warr. for that much.

I can get a new VW radio for less? Point me to it! I'm not fond of aftermarket retrofits. They may have lots of features but usually the radio reception is junk and look pretty gaudy.
