Just pulled the factory monsoon to check out the wiring for after market stereo installation. I noticed the metra adapter as well as the factory monsoon only have speaker inputs for the front speakers. The gray and white wires. That does not compute to me. So I just wire up the fronts and have no fader control with the head unit? The monsoon amp must divy up the fader?
Also the red metra adapter that has the blue antenna turn on lead as well as amp leads plugs into the blank side (yellow) of the blue green and yellow factory connector where as the only side of that connector that has wires going to it are on the blue side, cd change from what I have read on the forum. Thanks for your help, I know someone has to know the answers! |

The OEM radio uses it's own fade & Balance controls to move the sound around the car, all the Monsoon Amp does is enhance the sound with additional speakers.
All OEM radios are 4 channel output whether there is an amp in the vehicle or not.
