Smile JL Audio HELP Please

My last bug had 3,200 watts of boom boom

In this Bug i want a full JL Audio set-up. I would like it to sound true and spot on, rather than just hearing the bass coming down the road. Think my teenage years are over now

I'm guessing.

2 x 6" in the front
2 x 6" in the rear

2 x Tweeters in the pillars to replace the standard ones.

Amp wise to run these 6 speakers ??

What to have in the rear ? Was thinking a 1,000 watt amp and maybe 1 x 12" sub.

As with the components. Crossovers etc any idea what i need ?

Want it all to be JL Audio. Anyone know of a forum that can help or can you

you want JL audio component speakers it's the speaker with a crossover you can mount on the side of it, the evolution speakers are good i have them in my Yukon i'm running them to a 600 watt 4 channel Pioneer amp , but if you want JL you can get all JL as well you can try crutchfield very good company or sonic electronix over on the west coast there okay as well. eurotuner magazine did an install on a new beetle like 4 months ago if you want to get idea's check there website the article is called "volkswagen Beetle sound system upgrade-we got the beet"

AMP

Sub

Separates

now what box you put it in is up to you, we have that sub in a ported box in Herbie and the bass is unfarkinreal. I have the same sub in a sealed box in my jetta and it beats that double bass drum in all the metal i listen to. So ported or sealed this sub is bad ass. or if you wanted to go stealth you can get this and keep all your trunk space same sub only in 10inch instead of 12.

stealthbox is a pretty awesome option.

id recommend going a lil more highend.

do a 10w6. in a sealed spec box of .65 cubic feet. thats tiny.

do c2s in the rear, c5 components in the front, do the hd900/5 amp.

ull be in heaven.

as a secondary option i suggest the jl cp108lg w3v3 loaded box.
its super tiny and rocks. i had it in my bug before i went custom.

do the xd700/5 amp

and do c2s all the way around.

dont be afraid to mix brands either.

alpine makes the mrx-v60 five channel which costs less and is more impressive then the xd amp, althou its bigger. and you could do hybrid audio imagine series speakers for a similar price to the jl c2s, and they are much better.

most important is deck thou,

hope your doing something like a alpine cda-117 or 305sbt, or kenwood excelon kdc-x995 or kenwood kiv-bt901 or kiv-701. i strongly recommend the kenwoods with superior audio control.

jl subs are probably the best, but keep in mind the alpine type r ten, 60 bucks cheaper then the w3, but just as good.

i personally have a 10w7, the alpine pdx-f4 and the pdx-m12 amps, and the kenwood kivbt900 (last years model) and im looking to go to the c5s (i like them better then the zrs)

if i didnt get the company discount thou i would have just stuck with that 8 inch jl box, thing was awesome. my biggest seller by far.

good luck]
