Question installing aux xm in a non xm nb. Need ideas.

My NB didnt come with XM so I installed our old mobile unit. I ran the antennea cord from the top of the truck, through the pass through on the back seat, behind the head rest, down the side of the seat to the middle, then across to the center console where i buried it under the plastic and this was the result after i plugged it in and locked in the glove compartment.

Wondering if anyone else has installed one of the mobile xm units in a more stealthy way??

I know I am reviving an old post , but I stumbled apon this while searching for something else . I have a 98 Bug that had a stock radio and no XM . I ended up putting in a Sony deck I had from my last car that was Sat ready , and then through EBay and my local stereo shop pieced together an XM system that is all tucked up behind the dash and the antenna is centered on the dash right by the windshield . I don't have any issues with reception there . I do plan on getting a better deck soon , and will have to modify the system to match .

Did you use the factory dash mount antenna used in the vert?
