Maybe a dumb question, but how do I know if I have a Monsoon radio system in my daughter's 2000 NB? I'm probably going to change out all the speakers & head unit, so I'm not sure if it even matters then what's in it now. Also, what's the difference between Monsoon & non-Monsoon? Speaker impedance? If I'm changing out all speakers & head, does it even matter then? Also, anybody know if Crutchfield is reliable for suggestion component speakers that will have tweeters that fit well in the pillars up by the windshield? And one more....are the pillar tweets easy to get at? Thanks for any help!

On a 2000, you will have speaker grills on the dash and a-pillar near the windsheld, also when you turn, the radio on, it says monsoon and i think it also says monsoon on the tape flap.
or you can look in the spare tire well, to see if there is a monsoon amp hidden under the plastic. The a-pillars come right off, along with the tweeters who are plastic welded to them. (unless you do have monsoon, then the midrange and tweeter are in the dash instead) If you are going to out new tweeters there, you're going to have to cut bigger holes.
