Crossover Question

My 2000 NB does NOT have the Monsoon system. It does however have the tweeters in the A-pillar and speakers in the door. If I just replace the speakers in the door with some 2-ways, but don't go with a component speaker up front, will I be getting the full frequency range to the door speakers? I only see two wires coming into the door speakers. Does the original factory radio have outputs to the A-pillar tweeters, or did VW just splice the front speaker output wires? Or, is there a crossover somewhere that I don't see with some type of wiring going into it from the head and separate lines leaving it going to the door speakers & the A-pillar tweeters? I will be putting a new head unit in as well and may either disconnect the tweeters or just leave them plugged in with whatever I install in the doors. I will be replacing the back seat speakers as well. I don't want to install an amp, so components would probably not be recommended I assume? I'd really just like to go with 2-ways in the door, but want to make sure they are getting the full range sent to them on the factory wires. I've read several threads here but can't seem to find a clear answer to my questions. Thanks for any help.
