2006 beetle monsoon dash speaker replacement

Hello guys,
I just bought a 2006 beetle with a monsoon system. The passenger side monsoon dash speaker is not working. I want to pull it out to find the problem. How in the heck do you get to the speaker? I tried to remove the small grille but looked like I was going to mess it up so I quit. Does that grille remove or do you have to remove the dash up there? How?

Go to tthe NewBeetle.ORG homepage and scroll down to technical how to's , in there is a thread , Cabin filter replacement. about thrree or four threads down. that will get you going.

Thanks a million. The speaker was not plugged in, imagine that. VW replaced the cabin filter before I bought it. they left a screw out also..... what in the hell would i do without internet?????

Not often you fix a problem and cost you nothing. The ORG is a great resource for all things New Beetle and then some
