Default Sirius Stratus 6 - Anybody install one?

I have a 2000 Beetle w the cassett player in the midle of the radio. Has anyone installed a Sirius Starus 6 in a 2000 Beetle? If so, is there a link to a write up and or pics?

Thank you, George

Just curious, but what are you wanting to know? I've installed a few of those, but not in a beetle. But I do know a lot about the beetle radio systems. Are you wanting to know how to wire it up? or where to place it?

I'd say info I'd be looking for would be:

Best to route antenna wire in front or back window?
Is a Sirus FM Direct Adapter really needed? My assumtion is no Aux in port.
Any do's?
Any don'ts?
Tips?

Oh, and how does the attenna wire physically get inside the vehicle? I mean I get you insert it under the front windshield gasket and run it down the post towards the door but how does the wire physically get inside of the car? Do you have to pass the wire through some kind of opening (hole)? Or do you pass it under the gaskett/windshield somehow?

Thanks again,
George

Well, here's the all done pic. Went with the quick and dirty install. Antenna on inside (mounted to dash with velcro). Linked wirelessly to receiver via unused FM channel. Seems to work just fine. The vent mounting clips that came with the kit came in handy too. Maybe I have to wrap up the wires a little neater as a next step.

Here's where I put my Sirius radio...not a wire can be seen anywhere (other than a little on the left, but no one ever sees that side). It's supported by the black plastic trim piece, and a piece of velcro on the back of the radio.

I like what you did there! Interesting idea with the placement of it.

Thanks, OR...
Here's where I hid the antenna wire. You can't see it except where it comes out way up on the left dash. I just stuffed it away into the bottom of the dash and on the side of the dash where the door closes into it.
The magnet on the antenna holds it to the speaker grille. The reception is always very good...usually all bars.

Nice install! How about the power cord routing (cig lighter adapter)? How did you route it? Have a pic? Thank you - George

I had BestBuy do that...They had a kit that directly wired it in, so my lighter/adapter is still free for other things.
