I am replacing a Monsoon radio in a 2001 vw beetle hardtop. I am a little confused on the wiring harness issue. Is there a difference in wiring harnesses between a Monsoon and a non Monsoon radio in this car? I want to make sure I buy the right ones. Also, equally confused about the antenna adapter. Since this is a Monsoon radio, is the antenna amplified? if so, does it require a different adapter than a standard vw beetle radio would? If anyone has links to the correct products that would be a big help too. Thanks!

Go to Crutchfield and enter your vehicle info. It will line you up with everything you need for the job. Harness brand is Metra and has room for two plugs for the factory harness.
