Ebay 8-Pin to 3.5mm adapter not working

I picked this up for my wife's 2002 NB with a Monsoon stereo:



eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

and long story short, it doesnt work. i thought selecting the "CD" option would surely let this work, but the stereo i guess, tries to connect for a second or two and then just displays "no changer", then returns to the radio's previous selection. Is there any way to bypass this to let her use her phone hooked into this? or should we just buy an aftermarket stereo?

Where does that plug into? I have a cable that plugs into the changer plug in the amp in the back and then I just ran the aux cable up front. Works like a charm.

plugs into the cd changer slot on the back of the stereo. do you have a pic of said amp setup?

If you have monsoon you should have an amp in the trunk. Not sure where it is on the NB though.

I also don't have a changer so that makes it easy.

alright, i found the location of the amp. so theres a cd changer plug on the amp itself?

I'd have to look at mine, but I definitely have my setup hooked up in the back at the amp with a long aux cable running under the carpet to the front of the car.
