Default Non-monsoon to factory amp 'adaptating'

Hello from Mexico City!

Hope somebody can tell me if this approach is possible...

I have a '05 NB with a non-monsoon stock system. A few days ago I got an awesome deal on a Jetta A5 amp (Mitutoyo manufacturing...hope I can post a picture of this later) wich seems to use the same harnesses as the monsoon amp...I was provided with the wiring diagram, by the way.

Can I hook this amp to my non-monsoon HU??? I have already bought a pre-amp RCA adapter (yellow harness) for this HU...can I run this pre-amp output into the amp inputs using the corresponding amp harness (which I will order from local VW dealer)?

I'm very interested since I would like to use VW equipment and respect as much as I can the 'original feeling' of my new bug.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

It's not possible...

...not without speakers/wire harnesses/the deck from the Jetta5.

Thanks for the reply Jenna!

Sorry...I forgot to mentioned some details.

I want to hook this amp for powering a couple of Bose factory woofers I can get a grip on.

This is the plan...tell me if I'm flying to high

I'd get the amplifier harnesses from my local dealer (since these components are assembled here in Mexico I should have no problem in getting the harnesses).

I'd run wires to the inputs of the amplifier (I get this output from the aforementioned Blaupunkt RCA adapter).

As far as I understand I wont need the remote turn on since this amplifiers turn on in presence of a signal in the + rear left pin...something like that.

I'd get the proper 12v from the key sensitive lead (brown-red wire on the ignition harness) and ground to the amplifier.

I'd run the proper speaker wire to the woofers from the amp woofers outputs (I have the diagram and I know what pins correspond to the woofers output).

I won't need to wire stock speakers since I will keep them hooked on the HU.

Possible or just dreamin'?

Thanks in advance

I'm Justin; Jenna's my car.

it's entirely possible...i think.

given that you have the stuff, i say go for it, but where are the woofers going? the factory bose woofers were designed for a door (and a poor design at that), but ymmv.

So sorry Justin!!!

Please check the images I included...

In my mind seems possible...for me it would be a matter of wiring...just wanted to check any experience another user my have in such an esoteric approach.

Regarding the Bose woofers...I'm still trying to figure out how to implement them so they can blend with the NB design...maybe a couple of conspicious enclosures matchin the trunk's carpet...I think this is a minor problem ...I'm more worried about the wiring issue.

Thanks a lot for taking some time to review my post.

Best regards
