Default OE Non-Monsoon Radio Treble/Bass Wierdness!

Hello all! I have just experienced a strange operating condition withregard to adjusting the treble and the bass on my OE headunit. Normally, in order to adjust treble/ bass intensity, one would just press the treble or bass button and then turn the adjustment knob (normally volume knob) until the desired numeric number appears.. In my strange case when I attempt to make the adjustment by pressing the treble or bass button, I do NOT get a numeric intensity value. Instead I get the letter "E" on one and the letter "D" on the other (I forget what letter shows up on treble or bass...but I don't think it's important). When I turn the adjustment knob NOTHING HAPPENS to the display; the letter "D" or "E" remains.

I haven't a clue as to why this is happening and there is nothing about this type of situation written in the owner's manual.

Has anyone ever seen this problem. If so, what do I do to get it back to normal so I can make the adjustments???

Thanks in advance!

E = Error?
D = Disk?

Does it have changer capability? If so, maybe it's in that mode?

Just a guess.

Yes, it has a CD changer in the trunk> But this problem exists on either radio or CD modes (doesn't matter).
