volume control... or lack there of.

so i like blasting my bass and all, and i don't want to put in an aftermarket system cause i just think it looks bad. but when i'm cruising the beetle insists that i do not have such a good time annoying the elderly... and it does that automatic-turn-down-the-volume thing... anyway i can get back there and just unplug something to make it stop? i looked and i don't think i have the monsoon system so i don't know what else it could be aside from the automatic-turn-down-the-volume thing...

That has to do with the speed your going, I believe. Just check the manual. My stereo doesn't do that, but the one in my mom's Jetta did and I turned it off by following the manual. Good luck.

Holy Carp!!! I thought I was hearing things, one time it works and is all loud and the next its like it was turned down I though my cd player was going bad cool I'm gonna look in the manual. It mentions it in the manual but doesnt say how to disable it. might be a vagcom thing.

i don't know about a vag com thing, but i'm gonna check my chilton book to see if it says anything about it. post my findings tomorrow
