Default speed-sensitive volume compensation

Hi,

I have a OEM CD/mp3 player in my Beetle (with "speed-sensitive volume compensation" function).

Anyone can help me? I'd like to turn off this feature or change its settings.

thanks
t.

Wouldn't this info be in the manual? Mine is a 2002, so I don't have that feature, but the features I do have are accessed by holding down the scan button.

Hi,

this feature calls GALA (graduated audio level adjustment), like in older OEM audio from Audi.

I have found this manual, it is in German so I should be able to read it

thanks

Here is a link where this problem is discussed..

If you look in that thread, there are two links to the older version of the nb.org which should explain what to do to disable it... *I THINK* I can't actually read those threads due to corporate firewall right now...

Press and hold the scan button, and you should see something about it in there..
