Default Hummus?

Well..

After discovering that I'm not allergic to Beans like I thought, I was adventurous and tried me some Hummus.

Now I want to make it myself..

Anyone have a good reciepe? I know there are tons on the internets, but I'd rather see if anyone here has a favorite ones that you want to share..

One thing... I'm allergic to Peanuts, so if your reciepe calls for Peanut Butter... I cant try it

Cool

I've enjoyed several varieties of hummus over the years. Here's a place where you can find some hummus recipes that you might enjoy:

Try this:

http://www.mediterrasian.com/delicio...pes_hummus.htm

It's the basic recipe I've used. Once you begin making it, you can adjust it to your own tastes.

Me, I like more lemon and using roasted garlic.

YUM

SHE LIVES!!!

I like all kinds of hummus, but i've never made it. What's in it is fairly simple. Chick peas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil?? sounds easy to me.

My Italian bf's Italian mom can cook everything!
I like hummus, but I fell in love with it when she made it for me the first time. I'm salivating just thinking about it.
Now she makes it whenever I come over. I tried to make it myself one time at home. Not only did I break my blender, but it tasted nothing like hers. It didn't taste much like hummus either

I hope you're happy, now I'm hungry

If there is a recipe for peanut butter, substitute almond butter. My best friend is allergic to peanuts and does this often - she gets it at Trader Joe's.
