Default Great, Easy Recipes

So....I was referred to this website: www.kraftfoods.com for easy, cheaper recipes.

I got tired of the food network calling for all these obscure ingredients that I don't have in my kitchen. Not to mention, I definitely do not have the time to go grocery shopping every one to two days for fresh ingredients.

This site is wonderful and will even build a grocery list for you based on the recipes that you choose.

I made the baked ziti tonight and it was delicious. Later this week i'm making chicken penne with basil pesto.

Some of the easiest recipes are those from old home economics classes. My mum gave me a copy of "The commonsense cooking book". It had a lot of old time recipes, most of which are either trivial and fast to prepare or at worst, relatively easy plus you have a few hours to spare (slow cooking was popular back then).

The other person you should consider are relatives who can cook stuff well. I like many of my Aunties recipes and my Mum's. I've written a few down, but honestly, practice makes perfect.

Lastly, I've found watching Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals pretty interesting. Many of the recipes can be found on her website. She likes food spicy and hot. I tone down the heat and it seems to work out just fine. The good news is that since she does like two or three things in 30 minutes, you can be pretty much guaranteed you'll be able to do one of them in 20 to 30 minutes, and nothing is that hard to come by.

thanks,
Andrew
