Default Indonesian style noodles and shrimp.

Ripped of from a book. Needs a little extra "spice", so add a touch of your own favorite peppers/chilies or whatever...

Ingredients:
1 onion.
1 lb Green Zucchinis/Courgettes.
1 tbsp minced garlic.
1/2 tsp ground Tumeric.
3 tbsp water.
5-6 large(ish) cooked shrimp per person.
2 tbsp oil (sunflower recommended, or just vegetable if that's what you got).
1/2 pack of "thai noodles" or cellofane noodles.

Skin the zucchinis, then slice them thin. Chop the onion in half, then slice it thin.

Put the noodles in a bowl and pour boiling water over them and let them sit for a few minutes, as per instructions on the package.

Pre-heat a deep skillet with the oil, and toss in the onions and garlic. Let it heat up, but don't allow to turn brown. Toss in the sliced zucchini, the tumeric, the shrimp, the water and the noodles. Toss everything around so it is all well mixed, then let it simmer for a few minutes so everything is heated well.

The Tumeric is responsible for much of the flavor and all of the color in this dish.

Default Now with pictures.

Ok, first a picture of the ingredients

Ready to chop some onions and green squash. I've sliced off some of the skin on the squash.

I told you to slice it thin...

Best smell ever: frying onions and garlic

Add some Tumeric

And add some squash, shrimp and noodles.

And now on my plate:
