Default Post Your Favorite Crock Pot recipes!!!

OK everyone! I have had a crockpot for like 4 years now and the only thing I've used it for is as an ice bucket
It's a really nice one and I want to start using it but I don't know what to make in it. I've NEVER used one before.
So post up your favorite recipes! From the simplest to the most complex! I want 'em all!

Seeing as I have a severe nut allergy one of my favorite reciepes is crockpot granola because i have given up trying to find nut free granola.

I started with a reciepe I found someplace on the internets and then adlibed

5 cups oats
1/2 cup Margarine
3/4 Cup rogers golden syrup (Cause i didnt have honey)
2tsp Cinamon, Ginger, Nutmeg
2tsp Vanilla.

If i had any dried fruit i would have tossed it in there as well.

Use a chopstick/woodenspoon to prop the lid open so that steam does not build up inside and make your granola never dry out.

i cooked it about 2 hours on low stirring every 15-30 minutes and it did char a little so i should have stirred more often.

Chili - put it on low. Yum.

You can get some special crockpot bags so there's no mess. I tried to do this with regular plastic wrap - don't.

Easy Cheesy Slow Cooker Chicken

chicken breast halves
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 can condensed nacho cheddar cheese soup

I get the low fat, low sodium soup varieties so it's somewhat healthy.

Rinse and dry chicken and place in cooker.
Cook 6-8 hours

The father of my employer gave this recipe to me.

I have never used a crockpot and don't own one, but from what I understand, they're intended for long, slow cooking. If that is the case, I would simply adapt recipes intended for the Moroccan tajin (tagine) or the clay-pot Roemertopf. But hey! Didn't your CP come with a booklet of recipes? Or can't you borrow something on crockpot cooking from the library?

Then again, icebucket is a perfectly good use.
