Default Cajun BBQ Shrimp

This is one of my fave Cajun recipes and is quick to prepare.

BBQ Shrimp

Ingredients:
2 dozen large shrimp
1/4 lb. + 5 TBL butter
1-1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup shrimp stock
1/4 cup beer, room temp.
Cooked rice
French bread

Seasoning:
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/2 tsp. dried rosemary leaves
1/8 tsp. dried oregano leaves

Directions:
Rinse and drain shrimp. Pinch off heads. Set aside.
In small bowl combine seasoning ingredients.
Combine 1 stick of butter, garlic, Worcestershire and seasoning mix in a large skillet over high heat.
When butter is melted add shrimp. Cook for 2 minutes, shaking pan back and forth, do not stir!
Add remaining 5 TBL butter and shrimp stock.
Cook and shake pan 1 minute. Add beer and shake pan 1 minute.
Remove from heat. Place mound of cooked rice in bowl, surround with shrimp.
Pour sauce over it and dip French bread in excess.
Serve with white wine. Makes two servings.
