If they are from MKIV, they should fit in Beetle. I'm not sure about the engine. The engine should comes from MKIV as well. Find the engine code and do research on the next step.

As there are no beetles that come w/VR6 engines; and since we have VERY FEW people on this site who have any experience w/the VR6 engine; I would highly recommend you also reference the technical - engine forums on vwvortex.com

You are more likely to get a response.

Well I can say that since I have had both engines....I would look for a 24v VR6. The pics you posted are of an MK3 12v VR6 engine. The big difference between the MK3 Vr6 and the MkIV vr6 is the addition of a variable intake manifold which gives more low end torque and different compression. The main difference between the 24v and 12v is obviously the addition of 12 more vavles and a much more rev happy engine. As well as individual coilpacks for each cylinder on the 24v, unlike one single for the 12v. There's other minor/better differences. The 24v gets the amazing 02M 6speed tranny. All-in-all, the 24v is a much better choice. You get a great 6speed tranny, and a vr6 that actually breathes up top. If you dont want the 6speed, the 12v VR O2J tranny will bolt right up to the 24v. If you plan on going FI in the future, the 24v will always pull ahead with the 12 more valves. And 12 is similar to SOHC and 24 is similar to DOHC.

MKIV 12v VR6:

MKIV 24v VR6:

re
Oh and I forgot to mention that the MKIV 12 is rated at 174hp stock and the MKIV 24v is rated at 201hp. There are two more versions of the VR6 engine....the 3.2l 240hp 24v found on the R32, touareg, cayenne, etc.....and the 3.6l 24v found in the B6 Passat and the new Touareg.

24 Valve or 24 Volt? The last car produced by any German auto maker with a 24 volt system was the DKW Munga Jeep that was designed for the Post WW2 Wehrmacht?

The suspension for a MKIV VR6 (FWD) will fit. Main difference is the fronts are a little beefier to compensate for the heavier weight. All the MKIV FWD models had the same suspension setups but only were different in the weight they were rated for.
