well i finally have another update... we put those 32# injectors in and it seemed to fix the knock, but when we got back from test driving it the knock was back. ... so i got to thinking, what changed from when we had it sitting there running, and after we got back from the test drive. then it hit me like a ton of bricks!!! we had to jump start the beetle with my rabbit, cause the battery in the beetle was completely toast from charging and decharging all the time. when we got back from the test drive the battery didnt have a enuff of a charge to run everything, therefore my injectors, maf, 02, and all the other sensors were sending false signals to my ecu. put a new battery in it and problem solved!

Congrats on fixing the knock.

Maybe it's your phone that recorded the vid, but how's the idle bro? By the vid, the idle sounds retarded, as in the mechanical sense.

i think it sounds like that because of my phone. but i does have a miss at idle

thank you. working my hardest to have it ready for the Pittsburgh Classic on April 22. gotta get a new MAF and ECU sometime this week.

What kind of a crew do we have in western PA? I'm in Aliquippa, are there any get togethers?

i hate to admit it but the western PA scene kinda stinks. we have a close group from the clarion area. Me with my beetle, rabbit, and cabby.. Kodie with his 95 GTI VRT.. Jimmy with his VR swapped corrado, 2.7TT S4, and his Mk3 jetta VRT.. and Shane with a mk5 gli. theres a couple of strays we meet up with every once and awhile, and theres a decent size group in pittsburgh but most of them are pricks. theres a drag strip in Pitt called the Pitt raceway park. every year the VW scene rents it and does a car show and drag racing. thats on april 22 this year. theres only 3-4 semi local shops that do work on performance Euros and even at that the closest one is still 2 hours away from me.
