ok sounds good. let me know so i can be ready for them. i just bead blasted and coated my head (white) over the past week and it turned out good. im accually on ebay looking at +3mm oversized valves right now as we speak so il be getting them ordered in now. and should be getting my tech teacher to cut the head next week to fit the new valves. not alot of fast progress has been going on lately but lil thing here and there. O YA! i traded a local friend the 15" wheels and tires from the donor jetta for a set of 18" rims, but they need two new tires. they should look pretty good on the beetle !!

got my wheels and got them coated. looking f 2" VW center caps for them now. also got my valves in 2mm oversized intake and 1.8mm oversized exhaust. its gonna be a tight fit with them in the head. im good friends with the owner of RedLine Peformance engines in Brookville PA and he want me to do my porting and polishing before he cuts the seats. so i just ordered some carbide porting tools. should have it P&P by next weekend and ill send my head back out to him. but heres some pics of whats been goin on. sorry i havent been doin as much updating. i got my hands filled between the Beetle, work, preparing for school this fall and building a Motocross track! . but i promise to keep everyone updated everytime something is going on with the bug. untill next time... enjoy some of these pics..

going with a different route for the intake. gonna use the stock set up from here to the head, just gonna port it. then do a lil customizing from there back.

as much HP and TQ as i can get out of a N/A engine... im continplating (spell check anyone?) even juicing it with some NOS but not sure yet... my friend just bought a 95 Golf with a fully built VR6T and it screams!!! and im SO jealous! lol. i kno i wont get anywhere near him without getting a super or turbo. but o well ... since im already running MS he wants me to help convert his over, and then we will take them to a dyno/tuning garage to be fine tuned.. im not 100% sure what kind of HP il be pushing at the wheels cause every other VR build i find they use a completely different setup or they turbo it. but il be sure to post the final dyno sheets when i get them. THANKS for commenting tho, i was beginning to think that everyone watching my build abandond me.. but its nice to kno some one is checking in still...

alrighty sounds good. i also do some port and polish work if anybody is interested.. you gonna wanna go flat or gloss?

i dropped the head and block off at Red Line Performance Engines on friday. gonna go over in the evenings this week and learn how to cut bigger valves, shave a head and bore a block. so itl be a learning experience... also last week i took the whole beetle to my friend at Absolute Style and Performance. we ripped out the megasquirt, wideband, and wiring and completely rerouted, crimped, and soldered all the wires. so my wiring harness looks factory!! ha and we all got a laugh at all the customers that came in and asked where the engine was, and then the look on there face when we said it was a hyrid and all the batteries where in the trunk. lol but il be sure to upload pics of the block and head work.
