Default 2.0 bottom half rods question

How much hp will the stock VW AGG bottom half will withstand?
can the rods hold up against 400whp?
Whats is the limit for stock internals?

not sure on the specs but if i were building the engine to run a 400whp i would be changing the rods. not sure if it would be necessary but if im gonna do it im gonna do it right so i dont have to go back and redo it. i take it your planning on a turbo to get that kind of power? im pretty sure u can get a JE or wiseco Piston kit with eagle rods for around $1000. im planning on makeing 300-350 hp with my N/A VR6 and i know that im gonna be running eagle rods.

I don't know what the limit is, but 400 is certainly way out of any range I would call "safe." In the case of a TDI engine, the safe range is generally about twice the stock 90 HP and 152 ft-lbs. Anything more than that and you need to start thinking about upgrading internals.
