Default PD 150 in a NB ?

Hi guys

Apologies first if this is a stupid question or one that has been asked a million times, I've done some searching and can't find any info.

Over here in the UK, the Golf GTI Turbo Diesel, came with the PD 150 (150bhp) Turbo Diesel engine.

Does anyone know if anyone has ever put one into a Bug? Or if it's even a realistic task ?

Cheers everyone.

Scott

It'd be realistic...you'd need at the least the motor. If you're swapping into a PD100 NB, then it's straight-forward...otherwise, mucho dinero.

I would not attempt to put the PD 150 into a petrol burner. Diesel to diesel is one thing, but i wouldn't cross platforms.

Yeh, it would be going into a UK spec Cabrio Turbo Diesel.

Man i would LOVE to have a PD150 in my bug...oh god. Is that what comes in the passat TDi's? I would really enjoy saving up to do that. Man just the thought...

Would that create any type of stress on the body or anything? Extra tire wear, maintence be a problem?

No, in passat is 2.5 Tdi 150hp. I am talking for europe, dont know how it is in US.

I was planing the same conversion. I have 1.9 Tdi 90hp. The 1.9TDI 150ks was in Golf 4, also Seat ibiza cupra 160hp. By chiping these engines you could go up to 180-190hp. But also these models usualy come with 4motion, because engine have to much Nm for FWD. I was planig to put 4 motion also, but one day maybe. Financial problems

Now in plan is Tuneline chip from 90hp/210Nm to 127Hp/330Nm
