I was wondering if there was anyone on here from Northeastern Kentucky, Southeastern Ohio, or Western West Virginia, The Tri-state area. I so badly want to go to a GTG and meet some other NB owners.

the closest town of equal distance from all of us is Berlin, Ky. according to my Google Earth calculations. I tried looking for a place to meet there, but I can't find any park or restaurant on their town information from a Google search.

Anyone know a state park near there that maybe we could meet at?

YEAH!!! I've been trying to get some more members on here too. I live in Greenup and work in Flatwoods so far I am the closest by your location at least. Let me know if you ever get anything else going or find more. There is a Snap Orange NB running around right now I am trying to get a hold of but it's not going well, I believe I found him on here but he hasn't been online in over 3 months so I think I might have to tag his car and tell him to visit the org again. Goodluck on finding more, I am on the trail as well so cross your fingers

I haven't seen Gus'Dad on here in quite a while.

Anything you can think of for a GTG around your area?

I had an idea for a GTG in the Corbin, KY area, it is 100 miles from everywhere Acutally it is a central location between Knoxville, TN and Lexington, KY. We have some nice photo ops at Laruel Lake, and lunch at the very first KFC, it has a mueseum attatched that was the original Sanders Cafe. After, we could carabug to Cumberland Falls State Park. There is plenty of parking and the Falls are beautiful any time of the year. I used to kayak down the Cumberland river above the Falls, and we put our boats out just above the falls. There are places to view the falls from and some trails, a nice gift shop. I was there with some friends yesterday, and they had about 20 NB toy cars for sale. They also have a snack bar for soda, chips, icecream and other tasty treats. If anyone would be interested in doing a Fall GTG at Cumberland Falls State Park, let me know, we might get something goin.

I just did the Kentucky Bourbon Trail this last weekend, did all 6 in 2 days. I posted some pictures in the Photos:Member Gallery yesterday. Been trying to figure out how to turn that into a GTG event, I think a lot of people might like it once it got going.

I was down in Corbin about a year ago, and we went to the Cumberland Falls and it was awesome, it would be a great place to go to for a GTG

It's 6 distilleries between Lexington and Louisville, several are close to Versailles.

I know where you are talking about! When I bought my first Beetle, (felix, see link below) we drove out to a place called Stamping Ground, to an old distellery. It was as if many years ago, everyone just left and didn't come back. Awesome place.

OK, I have been to Midway many times. I ate at one of those restarunts on main street, my first "hot brown" and have been to the Reserve. It's a great little trip. The Stamping Ground distillery I was talking about is 10 miles from Midway. Actually Midway would be an even better place as far as a central location. They would love to have a bunch of NBs in there little town. If memory serves, they have a wine tasting on Friday evenings.

Can you come up with an address for this place?

I found this
Buffalo Trace-Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
in Stamping Ground, Ky....is this the same place?
