Other NB-Specific Events Anywhere?

Roswell was such a blast (as well as the New Beetle community). I was just wondering if there are other events anywhere in the US that are specific to New Beetles only (and of course, 21st Century Beetles after next year). I am aware of the Tail of the Dragon, but that comes at a bad time of year for me. Also, I know there used to be a Texas New Beetle Roundup, but from my understanding, that no longer exists.

I've been in the VW scene for nearly a decade now, but the problem with all-VW shows is a general acceptance of the New Beetle. The Airheads obviously don't embrace it and the water-cooled crowd prefers Golfs/GTIs, Jettas, Sciroccos, and Corrados. Following Roswell 2011, I realize how unique the New Beetle people really are. There is a special bond that leaves mere words inadequate to describe.

Now, more than ever, I wish there were NB-specific clubs and/or get-togethers in addition to Roswell. Are there any?

Roswell and ToD are the 2 big GTG's that we have for the NB in this group.

There are smaller GTG's in different portions of the U.S. that some people travel to, but usually it's local folk and whatever Air cooled events that we go to.

Don't know where you're located, but there are three clubs I'm aware of in California dedicated to New Beetles.

This Saturday, Aug. 27, I'm hosting a Summer Tour on the Central Coast of Calif, San Luis Obispo area. Meet at Margie's Diner, 1575 Calle Joaquin, San Luis Obispo. It will be small, maybe only 4 cars, but our enthusiasm is BIG!!
