///Brooklyn Auto Rennen Friday Night G2G's at Canarsie Pier in Brooklyn

My club has a weekly G2G at Canarsie Piers in Brooklyn. We usually get about 20-30 cars every Friday night. The variety is very widespread, going from air-cooled all the way to brand-new Audis and MkV VWs. It's a very laid-back G2G, no cops, no racing, just fun.

It's Exit 13/Rockaway Parkway exit off of the Belt Parkway. Easy to get to if you're coming from LI or Queens. We have members that come from as far as Suffolk County, so distance is not an excuse

Our G2G has moved to our winter location right up the block from the piers. McD's parking lot on Rockaway Parkway and Seaview Avenue.

I am consistantly the ONLY New Beetle there. Only 2 other NB's have ever come to the G2G in our 1.5 years of having this G2G.

I know what that's like. I've only ever seen one other NB at our GTGs. We meet on Tuesdays. I wonder if they'd drive out to Canarsie? I know the way if they would. Have to discuss with the men.

We had (and still have) people from Jersey drive out to hang with us plenty of times. Coolwater and DJD come out to play We also have people come in from Manhattan, Yonkers, and plenty of members from Queens.

Friday is also a nice time to have a G2G. Most people don't have work the next day and are willing to drive out and stay late.

Right now our G2G's are smaller because of the weather, but on a good night we can pull 15-20 cars in the winter, which is pretty respectable.

We also get Coolwater and DJD people because of use being kind of in the middle of both group's home areas. We're much smaller than the CW, DJD, and BAR, but it's good people. We're kind of seeking a winter spot as ours got ruined by bad rice.

I just checked out you're thread on Vortex. It's as active as ours is, and about as mature.

Come hang with us. Ricers don't bother us and even if one or two roll in, we ignore them totally.

The cops don't give us any trouble and the McD's management loves us because we bring them money every friday night.

And we're a very mature group...in comparison to many 3rd grade classes

I just have to run it past the boys. We have only 4 people over 21 ourselves, but our group is kinda mellow. I'm just waiting to hear who's interested. A few of the boys have been having car issues and such, but if you see a platinum Beetle roll in, you'll know we're there.

Well, if you guys do decide to come out we'll show you a good time.

still, if there are any locals that want to come and hang out, don't be afraid to just show up. our g2g is open to all VWs and Audis.
