28th is no good for me. There's a State College GTG that day that I'm attending.

Ok I decided to keep this on the 4th as originally planned. I don't want to overlap with John's GTG in PA, which I forgot was happening that day.

The 4th it is! Also updated our list on page 1. Tell your friends! We certainly welcome other dubs besides Beetles

I see Sugarloaf Mountain from my neighborhood (in Virginia) every day, but I've never been there. Maybe Christiane and I will make the trip in her GTI

I took a drive up to the mountain this morning just to scope things out. Damn, I'm glad I did. I only got lost 3 times

I updated the first page with info including directions and a NEW MEETING TIME. Is it cool if we all meet at 11:30 instead of noon? Also, we will meet at the East side lot. I'll try to get there a little early just in case. If anyone needs my cell, let me know. Tell your friends! The more the merrier, all VWs are welcome.

Hey Gina,

Hope you have a good turnout and that everyone has a great time up in the mountains next week.

My pod will be in a partial state of repair/dis-assembly next weekend as I am going to be putting in a VR6 clutch upgrade, plus new rotors/pads, etc...

So, sounds like a great time, post lots of pics please.

TechnoTrix'd.....

So Joe and I will definitely be there. Not sure if Snoopy the kitten is gonna make the long drive with us or not. I will also be "unveiling" a very big style upgrade on my Beetle. I'm really excited, it was my birthday present! I think we are going to be staying at my dad's on friday night, in Germantown, and just making the short trip from there. Is anyone else planning on going to Maryland International Raceway for the Import vs. Domestic thing the next day??

I can't wait to see everyone!!

What would Snoopy do while we're doing our thing? Also, I'm kinda allergic to cats, not to rain on the parade

By kinda, I mean a lot.

I'm thinking of bringing Archie, my border collie. He's not really overly friendly, he sorta doesn't care about people. If people approach him, he's usually fine. But he won't go out of his way to go up to them. He loves to go on walks though, so taking a little hike would be fun for him.. and us of course I dunno, maybe he'll just be a big pain

Allie, haven't heard about this thing at MIR, got any details?

On that note...if he does make the trip, I will leave him at my dad's house. He generally goes everywhere, including some of my classes with me. So hiking with him would be no problem, he walks on a leash!

Info about the thing sunday at MIR can be found at http://www.mirdrag.com/worldcup/wcf06/rave.htm
it looks kinda cheesy, but I heard from some of the HRDubs guys that it was really cool last year.

We're going to try to come. We're finally settled into a new house and Ginger needs to go to the garage for her first check up - but we'll see if we can make it. I miss newbeetle.org! We hope we'll be able to come. Anything we need to know? Sorry it's been so long!
