I didn't win anything . Thanks alot TJ!! (just kiddin'). It was my first show to be in and I had alot of fun even though it rained the whole time. TJ, we will be waiting for the link to see all the pics.

I am looking forward to the road rally tomorrow. I hope I don't get lost, again.

Looks like the weather was the same as it was last year when I left the show. The new location looks much better!

I'm just now able to get a few minutes on the computer...leaving in a little while to help out on the Road Rally.

Too much rain caused a low turn out...but hey! The quality folks came out and they were great to hang out with. Everyone I talked to had an upbeat mood despite the weather. I thought we were going to have a minority of New Beetles at the show since we opened it to the Watercooled clubs, but I was totally wrong. The New Beetle community made me PROUD yesterday! We had only two GTI's show and everyone else was a New Beetle!

Judging a show in the rain must have been fun TJ! LOL
At least everyone was on the same field because it rained the entire time they were judging.

I think I lost a few more awards to mother nature...I didn't think that plaques would start to deform from prolonged exposure to rain...oops.

Sometimes you just can't get any wetter and you just go along with the rain!

At least the sun came out right around time to wrap the show up and announce the winners....that way we could try to figure out how to dry everything off and get it loaded back into our cars. LOL The rest of the afternoon/and evening was beautiful...though it was a little muggy!

The Drive In went off great and everyone that made it stayed for both features...that was def. a first!

I'll probably post links to my pics tonite after I do some chores and shopping.

Thanks again to all that made the trip out - we can't have a show without you guys!

Hey look, I am quoting myself!! I can't say I didn't win anything now because I won first place in the road rally with the best poker hand!! Sorry Jacob you had to take second but yeah, thats how life goes . I had alot of fun and am looking forward to next years show already. I learned one thing about the show and that is I need a them to work on for my beetle. Although, I have no idea where to start. I am a Michael Jordon fan from back in the day and have some Jordan things. My wife thought I could do something like that but,. So how did you guys come up with your themes you have?

Antoine, tell Mike I really liked the Police car. I actually was going to do something like that with the '71 beetle I had but never even thought about it with my new beetle. Also tell Mike to send me that pic he took. I don't know if he posts on here or not so thats why I am telling you now. I took some pictures and will try to post them on here soon.

The car show was great! I just wish I could've made it to the Meet & Greet. I wanted to go to the Drive-In Saturday evening but I had a ton of studying to do and had gotten lost again in the way back to my hotel... AGAIN! It took me and hour to find it. I really enjoyed meeting all of you guys and it was great to see you again Jacob.

We'll do a better search of the Lewisville hotels and try to come up with a cheaper/better location for you guys so you don't have to use a hotel that is hidden.
