We could do OMSI, if it's on a weekend. There is also a great place to take pics near there. Along the river, with downtown Portland in the background. Are you up for this?

Default Feb & Mar GTGs look good to me!

I'll try to make 'em and I'll tentatively put them on my calendar. I've never been to Portland's OMSI so that would be interesting. I'll actually already be in Olympia on 1/27 but I'll be in meetings all day so I won't be able to join ya.

If you decide on Ocean Shores, let me know and I'll meet up with you in Hoquiam and drive to Ocean Shores with ya (about 15 minutes from my house). If you decide to go to Ruby Beach, let me know if you're getting to it via the northern or southern route. If you're doing the southern, again, I could meet up with ya in Hoquiam and cruise on up.

Just an FYI: to enjoy the beach at Ocean Shores, you almost have to drive out onto the beach. No big deal. I do this all the time. But I know some folks are nervous about it. If you come to Ocean Shores, just know that Ocean Shores has the worst beaches around here, imho. To get to the better beaches, you need to go a tad farther north. Ocean City (about 15 minutes north of Ocean Shores) is nice. Roosevelt Beach (about 30 minutes north) is my favorite.

I was looking forward to some beach driving I know ocean shores can be kinda busy so I was hoping for someone to give some suggestions for other beaches in the area

Well, I'd be glad to join you on the beach and show ya around!

Ocean Shores can get busy but it's not real crowded unless there's a clam dig. It does have the longest stretch for beach driving. Why not drive several different beaches while you're at it?

Roosevelt is my favorite because it is usually one of the least visited stretches of beach. It's located in-between Copalis and Pacific Beach areas.

So, when do you wanna do this?

OMSI?

I'm sure I know what it is, but I can't think right now.

Oregon Museum of Science & Industry (if I'm remembering right, that is). Kinda like the Pacific Science Center type of place.

Darn it! I have something going on in Sequim that day! I'll probably go up on Friday night and then, when I return home on Saturday night, I have an event that night that I need to attend as well.

I'm free on Sunday though.

Would you like me to post more details of some good beaches for beach-driving since I won't be able to be your guide that day?

ooOOooo Blue man group!!!!! I wanna see them. I need to find out ticket prices first.

And Omsi RULES. I haven't been there in some time, but I do remember that the parking is always fullish.

A coastal drive could be nice, as long as the weather is good that weekend.

Whereabouts do you live?

Did you see my post about "Epic Movie" in Vancouver, WA next month?

I can't find any info on the Tix. It is either not on sale yet, or sold out.

If another weekend would work, great! But I also caution you not to start changing dates to suit just one person because you will never find a time that is good for everybody...speaking from experience here.

But, of course, since this is my stomping grounds, I'd love to be here to show you around.
