Great Lakes GTG (Formerly Spring Treffen) 5/6/2007
Great Lakes GTG 4!
Save the date: Sunday, May 6, 2007, Noon Location: Evangola State Park, Irving, NY The area's fastest growing Euro event returns for its 4th year. This year, Buffalo's Dubs in The Buff hosts the event in conjunction with Crooked Euros. We've already received RSVPs from Toronto, Albany, Pittsburgh, Ohio, and West Virginia. The idea is simple: an early season GTG with no awards or judges, just a day to hang out, BS, and BBQ before the show season gets fully underway. A rotating GTG, previous years have been hosted by Pittsburgh, Erie, and Cleveland. Last year's GTG, hosted by Shaka and Dub Society (now Fatdubs) was incredibly successful with over 100 cars and many states represented. This year is already shaping up to be bigger! We've secured a killer Lake Erie location with tons of amenities and ample parking. Many sponsors including a charity fundraiser to be announced soon. Many people will be going up the night before to visit the Falls, Casinos (Canadian side), etc. Pictures from last year's trip to Cleveland Thread on Vortex with more info to come . . .

Great Lakes GTG 2007
hey everyone!
my local club, dubs in the buff and crooked euros out of pittsburg are putting together a GTG here in Buffalo, NY on May 6, 2007 this GTG was formerly known as 'spring treffen' that was held in cleveland, this year dubsinthebuff is hosting it. the facts... DATE: May 6th, 2007 LOCATION: Evangola State Park ( south of Buffalo) dubbers are coming from -erie -pittsburgh -cleveland -ontario/toronto -rochester -syracuse ---buffalo of course!  there is currently a flyer contest going on... I'm really surprised people aren't checking this out.
This was by far, the best gtg I attended last year. More cars showed up than most car shows. It was an awesome day. I think there were only two Beetles that showed up. (Myself and Bef.) It'd be nice to get more Beetles to attend this year. |

Yup! Would love to see some more Beetles. Last year, this was by far, the biggest and most fun event I attended. Bigger than even the formal car shows.
It's just an awesome, laid back gathering. The Pittsburgh crew is rolling out around 9:00. Lookin forward to it!!! |
