Have you heard anything from the Tampa crew- Celeste or TampaDeb? I'll have to PM them to see if they'll be showing up. It would be nice to see the whole crew show up for the Bug Jam.

I have not heard anything. Just in case they are around we still get together at the Amscott on 110th and US 19. 8 or 9pm. We had a good group tonight I stayed until 11! Tommorrow some of us are going to a flea market.
We had a celebrity show up tonigh, the Herbie given away by Disney at the opening of Walt Disney World in 1971!

I might go...how far of a drive is it, and are you guys staying overnight? If I decide to go can we cruise out together???

My bumper still isn't fixed, but who knows..maybe it will be done by then??

It's roughly a 3hr drive there.

I'll be staying at Moms. She's in Brooksville, which is about 30 minutes away from Dade City/Zephyrhills.

Bumper ain't fixed huh? I feel your pain. New problem...The passengers side headlight lens fell off and I can't find it. I'm retracing my morning driving route in hopes to find it and in one piece.

Ok i went to bug jam!!!! did not see a single one of you there. there were only 4 new water cooled. you could not have missed powder and I. so where was everyone......

I was there but my I did not get there early. My old beetle was acting up so I drove my new beetle. A friend of mine took my spot and showed her car.
I did not walk around much, I did not take a lot of pictures, and I did not even look around the swap meet. I talked to a lot of friends from all over the country and made a few more. I even got an update about friends in Norway and their baby girl!

I really wanted to be there, but Cup was under repairs. 2 wks. ago I replaced a bearing in her right side assembly and the latter part of this week I replaced her left side CV axle. She was also missing a headlight lens on her right side, so I had to replace that. Now that's all done, I was stuck underneath Peedie (that's what I call my wife's PT Cruiser) replacing the rotors, brake pads and painting calipers. As hard as I tried to get both cars back to speed before the weekend, it just didn't work out. I kinka feel like a turd for not showing up- I do my best to be true to my comittments.

We need to plan another Tampa GTG.

Hmmmmm... I had to miss it...

I had a gig in Orlando and reached back to Gainesville around 10pm saturday night! I was burnt out after the gig (2 hours behind a professional video cam at a concert for a live event) and 2 hours drive back home, that I could not budge this morning. Besides... wife could not make it because she had other plans... I guess thats the way the cookie crumbles..

... next time should be better, but, I hate to make promises!

i was there from 9 am to 5 pm... would have been nice to see a familar face. there were only 4 new beetles in the show. i added flaming wings to powders hood and sides. he looked great.

Maybe next car show. This time I had some troubles with my beetle that might have taken a bit more out of me than I thought. I almost had an engine fire, and I had to tow the car home. I got to the show a few hours late and in no mood to walk around much. I just went and visited the friends when I knew where they were parked.
