Bengies Drive-in Movie GTG

ok everyone time for me to start playing cheerleader. Lets all get together, show off our cars, see old friends and make some new ones and spend the night watching movies on the biggest screen on the east coast!!

I had out this out in a feeler thread for the June 16th, but I have had a request to change it to the 30th.

I told you I was going to play cheerleader, I won't know what movies will be playing until the 27th because they post the listings for any given weekend usually on the Wednesday before.

Hey, are we pre-staging somewhere close-by so that we all come in together as a group?

If so, where and what time should be arrive by?

If not, is someone arranging with Bengies for a spot for us to park as a group?

I am looking forward to this, as the last time I was at a drive-in movie I was probably about 5 or 6 years old.

Hi all !

I visited Bengies last year to watch Cars and had to turn off headlights before entering the property. If you cannot turn off (or somehow cover) your headlights you cannot enter.

I pulled the headlight fuses while waiting in line to pay - the line to pay is slow because there are no electronic transactions. Cash only.

We watched 5 movies that night while having a great pizza from the concession stand. If you follow their rules you will have a great time !!!

Ok everyone It's getting closer. I'm going to take a ride up there this weekend and talk to the folks at Bengies. I will also look for a "pre-staging" location so look for a post with location and a time by Sunday night. I'll also post what movies are showing as soon as Bengies posts them.

please check out the rules, They do enforce them. They do want you to turn off or cover your headlights after you pass the ticket booth, Before I disabled the DTRL on Heidi I just pulled the parking brake lever up one click and that turned them off.

ok everyone, here is the latest update!!
Yes the GTG will be Saturday June 30th. I took a ride up to Bengies tonight. There is a place on Eastern Blvd. just before Bengies called Pipos, lets meet there between 5:00 and 5:30. I talked to the folks at the gate, they said they have been opening the ticket booth around 6:30, and that Saturday is their busiest night so we should get there early if we all want to park together. By meeting by 5:30 we should be able to move to their driveway and be first in line when they open the ticket booth.(yes, there are usually cars lined up waiting for them to open.) They post what movies will be playing on Tuesday or Wednesday, as soon as they do I will post it here. I will also post directions on how to get there.

Bengies has posted the movie line up for this weekend, As they usually do they are running a triple feature, the movies, in the order they will be shown are Surfs up, Even Almighty and Ocean's thirteen.
