There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Hi and welcome!! Yeah, the dash is a beast to keep nice. Then when you try to do something it gets screwed up. Mine is bad (not as bad as yours but bad). The weird paint they used is impossible to repair. You need to use a wet scouring pad and running water to get it off easier. That of course means taking the pieces off. There are a few people here who have done really nice mods to it. Look in the photo section for ideas.

It's not 'paint', it's actually a rubbery 3-M coating. U hafta remove the pieces first, sand them well, apply a few base coats, then re-paint them in gloss and clear coat.

Well, it looks like you have half of it done already. Just take the pieces off and finish it. There are directions here somewhere. I'm sure Bill will be an angel and find a few for you

DO NOT SAND PARTS INSIDE THE CAR!

The very 1st thing u need to do is remove the top center piece, just push back hard on it and it slides right off. Next is the big center piece, which requires pulling the radio out and unscrewing it from the body. U 'll need to go a VW dealer to have them use the radio removal tool, or u can get one on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-ME...27152510QQrdZ1

The other stuff, like the gauge surround and other little pieces such as the passenger grab bar ends, just pop off.
