Question 2007 Burning Man

Burning Man 2007

I'm posting this because I'm curious if I can get a carabug together for some hippie fun.

The summer is here and many people are getting their trips organized for different events. One of the events I'm interested in is Burning Man. The place where crazy hippies go to prevent dehydration and have fun in the process!

Several friends of mine and myself have always wanted to do Burning Man, but other things always interfered. This year I'd really like to go, but there is another event that may prevent that trip. It's another place where a bunch of car-razy hippies go to prevent dehydration and have fun in the process . . .!

Of course I speak of Roswell.

Right now things are tentative for my Roswell trip. It's been several years since I went to R2Kv5 and really look forward to visiting with other fellow hippies/aliens (see how they're interchangeable?). But events in my work life may prevent it.

So if Roswell doesn't happen, I'd like to try to get to Black Rock (aka Burning Man).

Burning Man is all about art and free thinking . . . I think.

So a little carabug showing up to Roswell would be somewhat of memorable thing for those desert-dwelling hippies don't 'cha think? I think I can pack up everything I need for two people for six days in Tesla if I plan right. I'll have to drag one of my other buds along, but I'm pretty sure he'll go. He needs some stress relief from his work as well.

I suggest you check out the Burning Man website before deciding. It has a link for Burning Man virgins (like me). It's interesting.

So who'd be interested in a Burning Man carabug?

I have wanted to do BM for about 12 years now.

I am a closet hippie apparently.

My inner-hippie would love to say a big YES! The real world is keeping me away from Roswell/Route 66 tour and Burning Man. Sorry.

Default What?

No takers?!

Right now, it's a 70% chance that I'll be going to BM2007.

It really isn't a spectator sport.

I am going to BM this year for the first time. My husband has been twice. Not taking the CUDLBUG though. We are taking a camper.

If you plan to take bugs one thing to consider is, you have to take with you everything you need for the time you are there. Food, water, shelter, etc. Make sure you are going to be able to fit all that in your bug. You can't buy stuff once you are there.

BTW, my NB is Laser Blue :-)

I already had it all planned out. Except for the spectator part.

The purpose of this trip was to have it as somewhat of a recon mission. With a little carabug. If it were just me, I'd be able to fit everything I need in Tesla. Unfortunately, I was also going with a friend.

So next year, it looks like it'll be a pick-up and a plan!!!

We came up with an idea for our campsite that'll allow us to participate in our little way.

We just have to glean a little more info to find out what else we can do.

Both my plans are out the window this year. I can't make it to BM or Roswell!!!

It sucks, but hey, it's just another opportunity to do something else I haven't done . . .
