Default 6-24-07 ///BAR Daytime G2G

We're going to have a daytime G2G on Sunday the 24th of June. There will be food and drinks.

The location, as always, is Canarsie Piers. That's exit 13 off the Belt Parkway. If anyone is interested in coming and needs directions, PM me.

Hey, anyone interested in rolling up for this one? I've sent Mike a PM for more details, but this weekend is supposed to be beautiful.

Perfect time to take advantage of great weather and take a little road trip to hang-out with some fellow dubbers.

If you guys have seen some of the pics from other ///Bar events, the cars are crazy.. It would be cool to see them up-close.

I don't know how many people are going to show up. This is basically a BBQ for the club and we're inviting anyone who wants to come down and hang out. I can guarentee that we will show you a good time. Don't bother cleaning your car because this is not a show, and we don't care about how clean your car is. We care about the people that drive the cars. Also, feel free to bring drinks with you, because people will be more thirsty than hungry, and we always appreciate the help.

Directions depend on where you are coming from. Canarsie Piers is Exit 13 off of the Belt Parkway, so run with that. If you need an address, use 2200 Rockaway Parkway. That is the address for the now gone restaurant that used to be there.

Thanks very much for the info! I'm going to try and get down that way tomorrow. I'm only up here in Dutchess County...just a little over an hours drive I guess.

I got a little aggressive with a few mods that I was doing yesterday, so I was not able to drive up today...

Just got the car all put back together a few minutes ago, really bummed that I couldn't pull this all off last night.

I put in an oil catch-can system, ran a braided stainless line to my oil pressure gauge, finally got around to my "professional" XM radio install, took out and repainted the center dash console, top center dash piece, right and left top dash pieces and put on my "new" old TSW Trophy's.

So, like I said, got a little aggressive with what I was trying to accomplish yesterday.

Weather looks fantastic; hope a few folks were able to make it from the Org.

Thanks for the invite Mike..

Perfect weather for a barbecue. Lots of fun. A few non-mambers came out, but mostly just ///BAR.

When we have another BBQ, I will post up.

Glad it went well Mike, the weather was fantastic for the middle of June.

My two youngest were really bummed that I didn’t get the car put together, as we were going to hit Coney Island on the way home.

I've never been, but I figured if we were already going to be up in that area might as well pull in and see it.

So, definitely keep me in mind for the next one, as I now "owe" my two youngest a trip to Coney Island.

^^^^^^

Get there soon, because they're going to be rebuilding everything. Hell, they're even going to pull down The Cyclone, which will be relocated up the block.

To tell you the truch, I've never been to The Boardwalk or any of that stuff. I've been to Coney Island, as that is a neighborhood. However, the Boardwalk, Astroland and the general area has improved in the past few years.

Take them to lunch at Nathans, the REAL Nathans, on Surf Ave. The Aquarium is right up the block, too. Just so you know, "Up the block" is the NY term for "up a-ways".

In fact, you gave me a good idea...
