West Philly Suburbs GTG Feeler

Where: Route 202 corridor...
King of Prussia, Exton Square, West Chester, Chadds Ford, Wilmington

King of Prussia has... THE mall. The kind of mall you can get lost in for a week. I haven't been there in years, so I'm not sure what's there. There's also the Valley Forge park.

Exton Square has exploded in the past decade or so. Besides The Mall, a few years ago they built a "Main Street" mall - basically a faux downtown with lots of cross-streets, store fronts and sidewalks. Probably almost any big name store or restaurant you can think of is here.

West Chester is a small university town with a real and historical "Main Street"... lots of small shops and restaurants which I've never had a good excuse to visit. They recently built a parking garage, not sure what it costs...

Chadds Ford:

-TGI Friday's
-Ruby Tuesdays
-Five Guys Burgers
-Burgers in Paradise
-Hooters
-Jimmy John's Pipin' Hot Sandwiches (old fashioned frankfurters)
...and there's a new Mexican place I haven't tried yet.

If we're a small group with reservations, we could go local:
-Chadds Ford Tavern
-Hank's Place

When:
I'm good for any Sunday in August, and any Saturday except the 11th.

i'm up for it. I work in Drexel Hill so I am game any time. There is also a VW gtg every monday near oxford valley mall in the NorthEast suburbs if you ever interested.

Yeah, I saw that thread. I'll make it up there eventually, but it's clear on the other side of the city. I could probably zip up I-95 if the stadiums aren't busy.

Funny... Yesterday, the dealer I work for sent me to Connecticut to pick up a new car. I flew by the mall on I-95 at about 7 last night on the way back. I even had a pretty sweet ride (never mind that I can't stand SUVs, particularly the kind that make no pretense of ever going off road) - a brand new Audi Q7.

I'd be game! Still haven't done anything in Philly since I was about 8. Would like to hit some of the museums- Independence/Carpenter's halls, Winterthur, Brandywine, etc. That, and a fall foliage run in John's area would be awesome.

Sweet, ok. Here are dates that work for me:

1-3 (Labor day weekend)
8-9
22-23

Anything else is a big no-no

edit: Labor day weekend is the BugOut in Manassas VA, so that may be iffy also. I haven't decided if I'm going to that.
