NY/NJ Area gtg?

C'mon guys!! I really want there to be some sort of gtg before the summer ends.

How about maybe a end of August trip up to Bear Mtn? Something like that? It's gotta be really nice up there in the summer.

Is it too late to plan something?

LOL! Of course, silly. You know, after I wrote this I was afraid people might take it that way and I planned on coming back here to edit that.

EVERYONE is welcome!!! The more the merrier. I just meant have the gtg in the NY/NJ area. I can't really afford to go anywhere far this summer. We could even maybe do a Poconos gtg. That would be fun. Maybe Bushkill Falls?

What about Seaside Heights??? Or LBI?

Seaside is good. The boardwalk there is pretty sweet. The beach isn't free there.

LBI is nice, but i'm not familiar with the area at all. Not sure about the beach costs. Not much of an amusement park there, but they have a yearly Air-Cooled event out there so i know it's VW friendly.

Well, I know LBI is geared more towards the "mature crowd" hence no amusements. Thank God we're not mature!

Seaside would be awesome. I havent been there in years!

that's at least 6 people interested so far. Off to a good start. If we make it Seaside, i can totally help out with the arrangements. i'm about 40min away. I'm exit 114/117 off the parkway and Seaside is like...exit 88 or 82 or something (whichever one for Toms River)? It's totally a cruise worthy trip. The beaches in Seaside have some nice clear water too, for those who care.

Eurokings definitely has interest in hanging out with newbeetle.org if it's going to be in Seaside. I even have an offer from Mike to film the outing. Mike is the cameraman for all Eurokings outings. We're a small crew, but all good people. Here's the latest page from Vortex with the currently interested people. The interested owners drive a MK3 GTI, MK4 GTI, MK3 Jetta (slammed), and that's just from this afternoon.

If it's going to be Seaside, the one issue we'd have to solve will be where to meet and what we're doing. There's mini-golf, go-karts, and all that stuff to do. Arcades, rides, waterpark, etc. Classic Jersey Shore stuff.
