Hooray!
I've made it in the USA today! I've had a very good seat, lots of legspace Ellen (LNZBUG) has been so kind to pick me up from the airport. Less than an hour on US soil and already meeting up with an Orger  After we've had a nice lunch Ellen dropped me off at the hotel where my parents are staying. After saying our goodbyes we went to the Woodfield mall to have a bite to eat (not me, I was still stuffed with the delicious hotdog!!). And already I've done a purchase!!! New shoes  Tonight I will be going to bed early and tomorrow the road trip will start! woohoo! SEEYA! |

I'm quite envious that you got to eat a Chicago hot dog. I haven't had one in years! I need to fly to Chicago, too! I still put celery salt on all my dogs in honor of those, even though I put on ketchup, which I hear is a no-no for the real thing. I'll see you in a few days, with cameras blazing! |

Marcia, it was such an honor to get to meet you and your parents! I had an absolute blast, even though half the city was shut down!
I posted pics in a new thread that was started for you, but I'm still waiting to finish off the roll of film. I think I might get a shot of all the "closed" signs we ran into. I wish I had thought to get pictures of you in front of all the stuff we weren't allowed to go into! I just had no idea that the next stop would be unavailable as well! Next time I'll know in advance what's available, plus the air conditioning will work in Paul! Have a safe rest of your drive! Come back any time! |
