Default Central Alabama GTG? Please

.....before its too late!

In a few months my teen will get my sweet Bug and I would at least once like to go on a ride with some Orgers.

Is there a chance of an Alabama GTG any time soon?

The pic is on my desktop.

I want to do this.

If you REALLY want to do that, come on up to the Pacific Northwest and we'll take you to Mt St Helens.

I hope you can GTG with a bunch of folks as it's great fun to see lots of NB's and NBC's carabuggin' together!

Great pic BTW! (Though I am rather partial to it!)

Hey, I'm game... would have to be a Sat or Sunday afternoon. There are tons of Atlanta org'ers so maybe somewhere sort of half way in between?

Thats a great idea...I was just thinking it would be nice to have a gtg in Alabama...considering all the car shows we had been going to have been moved further away. Now if I could just get Turbs put back together...

Central Alabama VW Club's Show n' Shine is April
8, in B'ham, no less! Bugs by the Fire is Feb 4, in
Ranburne (over by the Ga boarder south and east of Oxford),
and while it's not central Al, Bug-a- Puluza is April 22,
in Chattanooga.

Union Grove:
Well, I don't know which show(s) you're talking
about, but in Bugn' in July's case, the show moved 20 miles
west, but was a whole lot more comfortable, and will be a
two-day show this year, to boot...

I'm getting a Mini Cooper S!!!
We are in the "shopping around for the best deal phase" at the moment.

Looks like it will most likely be at the end of Feb.

The shows I'm talking about are Nopi and Hot Import Nights...gotta remember I'm the only beetle in a group with an rsx,3 cavaliers, and an eclipse. Thanks for the info on the beetle shows..it would be great to get away and be around other beetles

Hi Gail!

Yes! Count me in with one stipulation ... it's got to be a dry/sunny day with absolutely no hint of rain. I've managed to keep SS dry and detailed for almost a year now.

Have you given any thought re who/what/where/when?

Me too! The question is where and when.
I live 30 miles from Birmingham and I know the area very well.

I am busy until the end of May with my senior and her "senior stuff"
Does something in June sound do-able to everyone?

I'll scope out the most senic drive in Alabama.

Any imput is greatly appreciated.

June sounds good to me! I can drive up to B'ham, wouldn't mind slipping some shopping in at The Summit

June, July, 2008, tomorrow... whenever! It takes me about an hour and 15 minutes to get to Anniston/Talladega so anywhere in 'Bama shouldn't be too bad for me. It'll be worth it.

Default I'm in!

I haven't been around for a while so cringed when I signed on tonight to discover I'd missed a B'ham show TWO DAYS AGO! I'm in the B'ham area. Saturdays are best for me also. Or even a Friday afternoon/evening drive-in at a Sonic or something (that's what the rod clubs around here do). Heck, anything to inspire me to get out there and get Klaus cleaned up. He looks like he's just back from a tour in Iraq.

Oh, and just for kicks, I'll throw in DH's Element as a bonus. We decided we wanted one round car and one square car. We're happy now.
