Anyone planning on going to this in Jersey?
It says on their webpage that judging for show starts at 9:30am. Call me naive, but does that mean you have to BE there at 9:30 or you can't show? Or can you get there anytime, but they're just letting you know it starts at 9:30?

Someone needs to add Waterfest to the org calendar.
I just checked it out. July is a long way off. I think instead of being judged i might prefer to just exhibit so i can hang with no pressure. However, July is a long way off and by that time the car will be in my name which means performance mods. Actually i'll probably be saving for Iowa at that point. |

awesome man! It'd be cool to check out that oval up close.
Hey....Jeff or someone....i pulled this off the Waterfest site.....discounts anyone?? Members of Waterfest authorized clubs, who Pre-Register for the Exhibition event will receive a $5 discount on Saturday and a $5 on Sunday! Authorized clubs are listed on a pull-down menu of the on-line registration form. If a member fails to list the club when they register, they will not receive the discount. If you belong to a club that is listed, but the form did not give you a discount, please contact your club and ask them to send us a new list with your name on it. When they have done this, login again to your Waterfest® account, go to the participant profile, check the spelling of your name, verify you selected the correct club again, hit submit and look at the new confirmation page to see if the discount is given. If your club would like to be listed, is VW/Audi related, has at least 20 members and has its own website, please have a club officer e-mail us an excel spreadsheet with your club members' first and last names in separate cells. |

Hmm...I'd like to go to Waterfest...this could be my summer for VW events. Going to the Bug Out in VA in May hopefully and Waterfest is definately an option since I'll be home during the summer. Both of those things me and my boyfriend had talked about going to last year but couldnt so it would definately be fun to go. Wouldnt be showing my car but it would be neat to see what others have done for ideas for my next car :P

Yeah I'm just going to see what other people have done with their cars and experience a VW event...not going to win anything. Hopefully when I get my dream car in a few years, I can customize it and enter it in some stuff. We'll see.

Mine is mostly stock too with a couple cosmetic mods. That'll probably force me to do Mod 1 class, but I'd like to try entering it to see what the judges say. I'm just worried about the drive over, I'll get so dirty on the way! Hopefully I can see some of you guys there!
edit: smileybug, thanks for mentioning Bug Out, I'll def go to that one, it's much closer ![]() |

![]() I hope Miss Amy can make it. It's not that far from her neck o the woods. Even Alan, NYBugman (i assume he'll make it), Jim/wnab, Justin (hoping he keeps Jenna), etc. So tell me veteran Waterfesters....what was last year like? What was good? What sucked? This will be my first one. ![]() |

First time for me, too. Hope to be there.
Last time I went to Englishtown was about 25 years ago, for flea marketing. (And yes, I was dragged there.) Had a great time.

Every year I say I'm not going to go again and yet I always end up there! Last year was the first, and most likely the last, year I'll show my car. I've attended Waterfest every year since its introduction and last year was the worst time I've ever had. Between the ridiculously high humidity and temperatures it was nothing more than a sweatfest. On top of that, the judges don't give a crap what you have done to your car, only how clean it is. C'mon, these are daily drivers for most people and this is no Concours d'Elegance!

i'll most likely be there provided i can pull together the price of admission. i will probably be showing, but not trying to win. only to hang. i looked over some judging criteria and i would have a hard time even placing. Whatever though. Hopefully i will be there with a crew, not sure yet.
