even though mid -america is primarily an air cooled parts place , they use to sell a ton of new beetle stuff , and have since pulled away from the water cooled stuff , still they put on one of ,if not the best show in the mid-west , if you preregister , you recieve free admission for you and your car into the show ,along with free t-shirts ,posters , food , and the mid-america staff is about the friendliest group youll ever find ,
my wife hates going to car shows and she likes this show because of the organization that is seen here is second to none ,
there is always a large number of new beetles that show up for the show and youll find something for everyones liking there.
this year they are highlighting vw busses and of course our favorite little beetle Herbie the love bug (mike the owner owns 2 or 3 of the original Herbies from the earlier movies ),
this is a blast of a show and you wont be disappointed !
me and herbie the flamed wonderbug are heading over friday afternoon and coming home sunday night , if anyone is interested is traveling along leave me a note and ill get ahold of you !

I'll be in IL around that date but I will be at the NOPI show in Collinsville/ St. Louis, Mo. Glad to see the dates are listed for the future so I can mark my calendar now.

The NIVA caravan is departing South Elgin at Noon on Friday. We'll be stopping to pick up 3 or 4 cars at the Shell Station at Rt. 47 and Rt. 71 in Yorkville around 1:00pm. We'll then continue south on Rt. 47. So....if anyone is interested in joining us, here's the details.

the oho caravan is leaving at aprox noon also ,
so i guess we should ask ,,, if a new beetle leaves columbus at noon heading west , and new beetle leaves the northern parts of illinois at aprox noon ,,will they ever colide ?

I will be there for sure allready got reservations and all set up.I will be coming from owensboro kentucky with the local vdub club I know of atleast 10 of them are coming we will convoy up ther early saturday morning its about a 3 hour drive for us so we will be on the road EARLY hope to see you guys there.

Welp we have the car packed and cleaned up and ready to go we have reservations at the best western for saturday night.I hope to see you guys there that are gonna make it up there.I will have my nb there its silver and supercharged will have a newbeetle.org
sign on it for everybody to spot me and I'm the guy with chrome trim on his arms I aint hard to spot also black and orange harley hat.We plan on getting there around 9 or 9:30 in the morning.
