feeler/poll - possible Tampa Bay area summer GTG?

alrighty!

interest has been expressed for a GTG in the Tampa Bay area.

it'd of course be open for any org member who would like to come, but will most likely be comprised heavily of Floridians, since they have a lot less of a drive.

exactly what we'll actually do still has yet to be discussed.

the important thing to figure out right now is time frame.

the most viable date for me would be in July, but could include the last weekend in June or the first in August. i'd be working all during the week, M-F, so a weekday, though theoretically possible, is not preferable.

i know that's a limited time slot, but that's just what's open for me.

so when are you open? and what could we do? and where could we meet?

Tampa bay is probably about an 8-10 hour drive from where i live...and im waiting for my BF to come back in town from his deployment. I think he would be pissed if i drove to Tampa Bay alone and meeting all these people for the first time! He comes back July 25th, so sometime after that would be appreciated

Count me in. I'm pretty flexible. Keep in mind many famlies go out of town on the 4th of July weekend, so that might be a stretch for some to make it that weekend.

I'm trying to do a recall of places to go/do in TPA. There's always the park/option. Clearwater Beach isn't too far away. Also Phillipe Park in Saftey Harbor is cool if we wanted to do the grill thing; that would mean extra work (grilling/cleanup) so I don't know if that would be hip for anybody.

ANYWHERE ANYTIME in Tampa! I will make it fit. Phillipe Park in SH is a great place. Also Oldsmar has a very nice place on the water.
