Default Hopes of an Atlanta GTG someday...

I know there are talks of some Ala-daggum-bama GTG's here in the near future... but I wanted to propose something to take place here in GA. Atlanta seems to be the most logical site. We have lots and lots of stuff to do here. The new Georgia Aquarium is out of this world. The Olympic Park is really nice. Tons of good food and cool sites all around the metro area.

Just a thought. I'd love to help someone get it together. I sure as hell can't do it on my own.

I've been meaning to check out the aquarium, but I'm afraid to take my beetle eveyrwhere, she was severley abused by her previous owner, and I'm doing my best to get it where it belongs.

And an excellent thought at that

With a fair number of members here surely we could come up with something/sometime?

Yeah. The map shows a good deal of members. Not sure how many are active. If the buzz is strong enough we can get something going.

We have had a good number of Atlanta GTGs in the past. If I am not out of town, I would be up for another!

Also don't forget about Bug-A-Paluza this month!! www.volksfolks.com

Sorry, but I'd have to dump her. NO ONE holds me back from rock n' roll.

Yes, yes, yes. Anyone and everyone.

Now I need some major help planning when. I think it'd be wise to have some kind of gathering at the Aquarium/CNN Center/Centenial Olympic Park. But that's not really good for parking our cars and looking around and stuff.

OR... check this out... I can get some really kick as deals at Six Flags Over GA because we do MUCHO printing and design for them. I can get a bunch of free tickets and we can converse in one of the parking lots or something. Lots of open areas in that general area.

Like any of the suggestions?

No, that would be me. Now why would I drive the DeLorean to a New Beetle GTG??? Hehe. I need to get Freaky out and about. He has been needing some attention.

Plus, a downtown GTG sort of defeats the point of getting the cars together. Maybe a Sonic somewhere around the metro?

Or my vote is on a mountain run... maybe up around Dahlonega?

I graduate May 12th, so I'm up for sometime after then.
Fo shizzle.

I've never been to Dahlonega but I'd love to go. Helen is also a very nice place just a couple hours north. But if we want to keep this in the general metro area, then, as you said, there are plenty of Sonic's we could hit up. Also, my Six Flags suggestion above would keep us out of "major" downtown traffic. Just depends on what everyone would like to do. Whatever it is; I'm for it!

That would be ideal. I'll research some places. I don't know of any off hand. Do you know of any?
